Established in 1918, as a project by the “Opera Nazionale Combattenti” (National Combatant work), Alberese could be considered the gate to the Parco dell’Uccellina, a natural reserve within the area of Grosseto overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.

A visual summary of the uncontaminated nature of the park with blue sea is a exhortation of that “feeling of ecstacy” which this region expresses.

Monti dell’Uccellina (bird mountains), the Alberese pinewood, following along the sandy shores of Marina di Alberese, until the footpath leads to the splendid “Cala di Forno” (Ovens creek).
